Are you looking for an opportunity to take control of your career and push it to the next level? If so, the new positions at NJL’s could be for you. We are looking for a Planner/Senior Planner to work in our Manchester office and also a Planner/Senior Planner to work in our Leeds office.

NJL is an independent planning consultancy with city centre offices in Manchester and Leeds. We work for a range of premium clients on flagship projects across the UK and have a young and dynamic team who work to find innovative solutions to our client’s planning and development problems. We pride ourselves on doing things a bit differently, to stand out from the rest. The roles will vary depending on experience but will include work with some of our leading clients and managing a range of projects through the planning process. Self-motivated individuals are required who can manage a challenging workload and who thrive within an ever-changing environment. They will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and be able to demonstrate the ability to negotiate with external parties to represent their client’s best interests.

Role requirements

  • 3+ years post-Masters qualified
  • Member of the RTPI
  • Drivers licence
  • Residential experience
  • Development management procedures experience
  • Local plan promotion expertise
  • Appeals experience (preferable)
