The Client & The Opportunity

Our client is leading and long-established property company, that undertakes development, investment and management of an extensive property portfolio, across the UK.

Head of Asset Management is required who take immediate responsibility for the management of the portfolio and the role offers first-rate prospects for a confident, enthusiastic, committed individual.

This is an exciting hands-on opportunity to join a well-established and progressive property company, and the role includes but is not limited to:

• Full estate management, using external agents where necessary, although most tasks are undertaken in-house.
• The portfolio comprises multi and single let assets, being approximately 100 in number of high value, predominantly commercial properties, comprising:
• Non-food retail units
• Food Stores
• Shops
• Industrial, and
• A number of residential properties

Full asset management, including but not limited to:

• Letting (via agents)
• New Leases
• Rent Reviews
• Lease Renewals
• Re-Gears
• Dilapidations ( most properties let of FRIL leases – external agents retained for repair and terminal dilapidation notices )
• Managing the Insurance of the Portfolio (Insurance sourced via retained Insurance Broker)
• Maintenance of Property Records
• Maintenance of Property Ownership Register
• Improvement of Stock ( incl. upgrades required for EPC regs ) plus redevelopment where beneficial , installation of PV, etc.
• Property Management advice and assistance to related companies
• Valuations of properties for accounting purposes
• The Portfolio is expanding, so there is scope for some property development work

N.B. You shall also be assisted by an internal support network, providing the likes of:

• Legal – In-house Solicitor
• Technical – In-house QS/Project Managers
• Accounts – In-house accounts team – e.g. dealing with rent collection

 Remuneration includes:

•  Salary  c. £100,000 DOE
• Car allowance of £10,000 p.a.
• 25 days annual leave
