We are looking for an ambitious and commercially astute graduate development surveyor with a desire to work on prestigious projects across the country. The role is within our Development Viability team; a well-established and growing national service.
Our Manchester office has been established for 35 years and is a market leader in providing planning and development advice. We have an outstanding track record and an exceptional reputation for client service and quality of advice.
Our national Development Viability team is growing in response to workload and new projects from a range of blue chip clients across various sectors including: strategic land promotion; residential; urban apartments, PRS and co-living; mixed use; commercial and operated assets.
Amongst others, we act for: national, regional and local developers and housebuilders; strategic land investors; funds; land owners and public sector organisations/agencies.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and progressive consultancy, working on a national basis on a diverse range of development projects. We work closely with our specialist Planning, Economics, Design, and Heritage teams across the country to provide a comprehensive commercial place-shaping offer for our clients. Our Development Viability service is core to our offer.
We are looking for a motivated individual who can work well within a tight knit team and build relationships with our co-owners, external property professionals and clients. Core responsibilities include: undertaking comparable evidence research and preparing market analysis, carrying out development appraisals using Argus Developer; preparation of precise and detailed Financial Viability Assessment reports for clients; reviewing third party viability evidence; preparing technical representations; and establishing and maintaining a thorough understanding of best practice viability methodology, and relevant Appeal decisions and High Court judgements.
We are different from other planning led consultancies. We are employee–owned and we offer great career opportunities and comprehensive support for your professional development. We provide excellent remuneration and a flexible benefits package including a non-contributory pension, ownership dividend and performance-related bonus.
If you have undertaken an RICS (or RTPI) accredited degree, we will provide mentoring to secure professional qualification with either/both bodies. You will receive both work-place training and business support for enrollment on relevant training courses / CPD activity and events.
