I am currently recruiting for an experienced Facilities Manager to join one of the UK’s leading retailers based in Greater Manchester. The role

As the Facilities Manager based in Manchester you will own, manage and deliver facilities services across your cluster of stores. You will be managing and developing Assistant FSM’s and a team of multi-disciplined service delivery colleagues, covering hard and soft services, to deliver service standards, maintain HSE excellence, drive continuous service improvement and sustain a safe environment.

You will work with the wider business to develop and implement store maintenance strategies for all primary retail assets under your remit and ensure FM partners are aligned to these strategies and that all relevant contracts enable effective delivery.

The role entails regular analysis of vendor data and contact with all 3rd party suppliers relating to contract queries, including ad hoc auditing of work carried out by 3rd party suppliers.

You will also be responsible for sustaining proactive, effective relationships within any customer organisations and owning the overall workplace service relationship, whilst actively engaging in the provision of service innovation projects, programs and processes.

Your experience

You will have significant experience working in FM in a multi-site organisation preferably from a large-scale retail industry. You will hold a good understanding and training of UK & Ireland legislation relating to the work place and good understanding of fire and water safety procedures and certifications. You will have a solid understanding of the Asbestos regulations and managing Asbestos in buildings. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with intermediate knowledge of financial accounting principles and hold an Intermediate IT skill set. You will also have good numerical skills with an ability to analyse data sets accurately.
