This is an exciting opportunity for a Director or Associate level Building Surveyor, with experience of, and a real passion for, building and leading a North West building surveying team. You will have a wide range of valuable management skills and experience both technically and commercially. You will be expected to support and grow the existing team. This is a business management and client facing role and you will be expected to manage an operational business from a P+L perspective as well as developing new clients, winning tenders and playing an active part in the leadership of projects.
There is a strong existing client base upon which to expand the team, with the majority of work being within the commercial sector.
You will be responsible for leading, driving and growing an established Building Surveying business across the North West. You will proactively contribute to the development of the client base, support and develop a culture of cross-discipline working, develop and maintain business relationships, set and manage client expectations and agree fee schedules and commercial terms. You will also develop a business plan for the team including exploring key business development opportunities and be a proven ‘work winner’. You’ll develop leading edge solutions, maximise technical quality and efficiency and achieve project revenue targets.
A proven business leader, you will be qualified to degree level, with appropriate professional memberships and relevant industry experience at a senior level. Experienced in successfully running substantial projects from inception to completion, with the ability to write fee and project bids and perform effectively at tender interviews. You will have recognised management experience, the ability to manage other professionals, both internally and externally, as well as assistants and be able to collaborate and influence other team members and clients. You will have a very good understanding of financial management.
