My client, an outstanding Top 40 law practice, is looking for a Solicitor to join their Construction department at their offices in Liverpool.

My client is an outstanding practice, who attract top calibre employees and clients alike. This opportunity will be working within its Construction department in Liverpool. The team is one of the largest construction teams based in the North West having expanded rapidly over the past couple of years. You will be joining a friendly and supportive team who are very sociable and keen supporters of charities having participated in various events in 2017.
In this position, you will be exposed to a variety of exceptional quality work. This team is highly regarded, acting on behalf of employers, main contractors, insurers, sub-contractors and members of design teams. In addition, they also handle both domestic and international arbitrations.
As a Construction Solicitor, you will be working directly with the partner in the team who is very well respected in the industry and has been recognised in the Legal 500. You will manage a mixed caseload of non-contentious and contentious work. Duties in this position will include: –
- Managing/assisting with non-contentious files
- Reviewing and reporting on all forms of construction, engineering, oil & gas and infrastructure contracts
- Drafting and negotiating building contracts
- Due diligence of construction contracts works for funders
- Preparing professional appointments and warranties and manage their completion
- Preparing security documentation
- Preparing reports for funders
- Drafting letters of advice/instructions to clients/experts
- Assist in dispute resolution through litigation, adjudication, mediation
- Preparation of documents in proceedings, including claims, witness statements and other documents
You will be a Solicitor qualified to practice in England and Wales with around two years PQE. You will have a proven track record working as a Solicitor, dealing with a case load of Construction matters. This is a full time permanent position. Salary is highly negotiable depending on experience.
