Salary: £41,025 to £42,899
Salford offers an exceptionally strong set of growth propositions that will allow it to develop as a place to live, to work and to visit for a diverse urban, suburban and rural culture. It has unique combinations of city living and space to breathe with the potential to develop and adapt to future working and living trends.
The last decade has seen inward private sector investment amounting to billions of pounds which has secured new commercial developments, housing, infrastructure, public realm, cultural, health and educational facilities.
The business base has diversified and grown with new jobs in digital, media, creative, professional services and new distribution and logistics businesses and population numbers are once again on the rise.
Salford now has the fastest growing economy in Greater Manchester with GVA up 22% contributing £5bn to the regional economy – a figure set to double in the next decade.
And the city is second only to Manchester for the number of new business start-ups.
It has one of the most skilled digital and technical workforces in the region with strong links between education and industry, one of the key principles in helping shape the growth.
And these new creative industries are attracting new talent with the population predicted to grow by 2,200 year on year.
This is Salford’s time! With further transformational opportunities at strategic growth locations including The Quays and MediaCityUK, the Western Gateway and City Centre Salford, the city council is looking to strengthen and enhance its commercially focussed Regeneration team to support and influence future development through collaboration with investors and developers, inspire project management excellence and maximise investment and funding opportunities.
We are looking for two dynamic, driven and experienced individuals with a demonstrable track record in delivery and project/programme management to work in a fast paced environment within the Regeneration team responsible for securing the city’s growth agenda.
Focused within the Investment team, these senior roles will commission and secure the delivery of major projects across the regeneration portfolio – working alongside key delivery partners, developers and contractors. The successful candidate should be an engaging, resilient and excellent negotiator with the ability to inspire project management excellence, take ownership of a significant portfolio of work and relationship management.
The closing date is 12pm on 9 March and interviews will be held on Thursday 15 March
