      The Company

      An excellent opportunity has arisen for a commercial agency surveyor to join a leading, established and highly reputable property consultancy across Lancashire and the wider North West region.

      The company provides advice on a range of property matters, including but not limited to agency, professional, development, investment, lease consultancy and valuation.

      Overall Purpose of the Role

      Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Agency Surveyor to join their Lancashire office who shall ultimately progress to lead the Agency team. With an excellent regional client base, industry contacts and a highly qualified and professional team, the client has grown to be a successful and dynamic firm of Chartered Surveyors across the whole of the Northwest, and beyond.

      The role will be focused on the predominantly the Northwest and will cover all the main commercial sectors for a wide range of private and public clients. Our client is offering an excellent opportunity to gain a very broad range of agency experience across all key sectors and for a range of purposes.

      You will be expected to carry out instructions efficiently and with a high degree of independence which includes the inspection of properties and preparation of concise and accurate client agency reports and particulars ready for the Director to review and sign off.       The Role

      A hardworking and highly motivated individual is sought, who can bring their own skills and expertise, whilst still showing an appetite for continuous improvement and personal development, by drawing on the support and experience within the business. This is a key role in the development of the business and for the right candidate, will lead to a senior and well rewarded position.

      You will work closely with one of the Directors, to strategically expand the agency side of the business, in terms of geography, calibre of instructions and market share. Ideally, you will have some working knowledge of the Lancashire/Northwest property market and be capable of performing to a high standard.

      Previous experience of commercial property sales and lettings is essential, and you will be able to implement your own ideas, with the support of a professional and enthusiastic agency team, to deliver on the sale and letting of a broad range of properties, for a variety of local and national clients. As a business, our client is focused on their customers’ needs and providing a first-class service to all clients.

      Key Duties

      • Inspecting properties and providing marketing recommendations and valuation advice to clients
      • Conducting property viewings and managing follow-ups
      • Generating/reporting offers and negotiating terms.
      • Preparing accurate and detailed Heads of Terms and instructing solicitors
      • Liaising with solicitors and the respective parties and steering deals through to completion
      • Helping to win new business.

      Key Skills & Experience

      • Ideally holds a property related degree or similar qualification
      • A good understanding of the commercial property sales and lettings process
      • Clear thinking, good at problem solving and empathetic.
      • Strong computer skills and a keen eye for detail
      • Good organisational skills and the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
      • Communication skills, both written and verbal
      • A professional, positive, ambitious, and enthusiastic attitude
      • Full UK driving licence.
