Niche developer Elan is an exciting name in housebuilding. Established in 2008, the privately-owned business operates across the Midlands, North West and South West England and North Wales.

The company has a reputation for building in some of the most desirable neighbourhoods.

The land department plays a vital role in identifying, evaluating and acquiring land to secure sufficient sites for housing development.

Elan currently has a vacancy for an Assistant Land Manager based in the Northern region.

The role

The role requires an experienced proactive person who is able to support the Land Department in sourcing new development opportunities by identifying and appraising land for management consideration.

An ability to work within a team is essential. The candidate will also be required to work alone at times and be self-motivated.

Responsible to the Land Director, the successful applicant will be involved in identifying, evaluating and the procurement of residential development opportunities and will be required to work within agreed budgets.

A sound financial understanding is important and also an ability to identify and reduce risks.

The successful candidate will have a background in; Land Buying, Planning or other suitable experience related to the property industry and possess an honours degree (or equivalent) in Estates Management, Urban Planning, Land Economy, Built Environment or similar.

The role is office based but flexibility is required as the role will require the post holder to make frequent visits to follow up land opportunities across the North West.

Full time: 38 hours per week – Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent

Hours of work:     8.30 – 5.30 pm Monday – Thursday and 8.30 – 3.30 pm on Fridays
