Consultancy appointed for Blackburn town centre strategy

Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council has commissioned Urban Practitioners to prepare an updated town centre strategy for Blackburn.

Urban Practitioner's team for the project includes Lambert Smith Hampton, economic development consultancy Hunt Dobson Stringer and Retail Group.

The strategy will set out key developments and actions intended to improve the town.

Silverstone Building Consultancy has finished converting two hotels into one 98-bed venue on the seafront.

Early-stage plans to redevelop a 200-acre strategic site east of the city centre have emerged.
