About the role:
We are currently working with a leading construction consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, major build projects across the UK. Our client specialise in providing expert consultancy services on complex, large-scale projects, and are now looking to expand the leadership team with the addition of a Sector Lead who will help to drive growth and excellence in the build sector.
The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Sector Lead to join the team, overseeing and developing a group of specialists working on major development projects. You will be responsible for spearheading the companies efforts in this area, building a team, and establishing yourself as a key figure within the industry. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with proven leadership capabilities, a strong network, and a successful track record in the sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the growth and development of a specialist team delivering large-scale development projects.
- Drive business development by leveraging your existing network and building new client relationships.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standard.
- Provide strategic input on project execution, ensuring quality, sustainability, and best practices are adhered to.
- Mentor and develop junior members of the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the market, identifying new opportunities for growth and development.
About You:
- You will have a proven track record of delivering major build projects, from conception to completion.
- You are well-connected in the construction industry, with strong business development and networking skills.
- You have demonstrable leadership experience, having successfully led or grown teams within a consultancy or construction environment.
- You are ambitious, with a passion for delivering high-quality projects and driving business success.
- You are knowledgeable in all aspects of construction project management, from cost planning to contract administration.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Chartered status (RICS, CIOB, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Extensive experience in delivering major build projects within the UK construction consultancy sector.
- Strong commercial acumen and leadership abilities.
