**APPLICATIONS BY THURSDAY 30th JUNE 2022**

      VACANCY REF: AK18904

      The Client

Kingsley is proud to be retained by Baltic Creative, a ‘Community Interest Company’ (CIC) specifically created to support the growth of Creative & Digital Industries in the Liverpool City Region.

      W: https://www.baltic-creative.com/

Established in the Baltic Triangle in 2009, Baltic Creative CIC was created to offer a new development model, investing in diverse spaces that catered to Liverpool’s booming creative and digital sector.

Today, Baltic Creative CIC owns 118,000 sq ft of space and counting and are playing a major role in the regeneration of the area. Everything they do is tailored towards creating the perfect conditions for creative and digital businesses to grow. Part incubator, part developer, part innovator, they employ a relaxed management style with the kind of flexible approach to contractual relationships that start-ups – especially creative ones – need.

Unlike most developers, their ‘Community Interest Company’ status ensures all profits are reinvested into their buildings, their tenants and the sector itself and because they own and manage all their own buildings, they can closely oversee this reinvestment, and ensure their tenants thrive. This model is already recognised as a best-practice approach for the sector, as well as local regeneration.

      The Role

Our remit is to source a suitably experienced and enthusiastic Head of Property & Development who will set and execute the growth strategy, lead the full P&L and super-charge this accelerating business. We are looking for an ambitious individual who will lead the dedicated and ambitious Liverpool based team.

The successful individual will help to plan, manage, and deliver an investment programme for a portfolio of over 140 small businesses which includes light industrial units, leisure, retail, and commercial office space, engaging with all tenants and communities along the way.

The main aim of the role will be to achieve optimal returns for our client’s assets by implementing capital investment projects, co-ordinate and deliver capital investment projects, whilst contributing to the rental income targets and investment returns for the portfolio.

Ideally (but not essential, subject to proven, relevant experience), you will be a Qualified ‘GP’ Surveyor (MRICS/FRICS), with a background around Property & Asset Management, Agency and Development, with the ability to liaise with and manage both internal and external colleagues and consultants.

This key individual will be involved with identifying, presenting and implementing opportunities, primarily investing in under-utilised property, ensuring that schemes are viable, achieving board sign-off through to delivering the schemes on site.  What is key to this role is possession of the drive and experience towards regional growth and development of the organisation whilst maintaining the highest best practice.

You shall also assist in securing relevant funding to re-invest into and extend the portfolio and undertaking regeneration projects.

      Main Requirements

      • 5+ years in a similar role
      • MRICS/FRICS (preferable)
      • Demonstrable experience in both commercial letting, property asset management & development
      • Proven track record of setting up, leading, and motivating successful teams
      • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to get on with colleagues and tenants alike
      • Highly computer literate with knowledge of property management software
      • Ambitious and willing to take calculated risks
      • You will be an ‘ideas’ person.

      Remuneration:

A Competitive Salary is on offer, depending upon the relevant experience of the successful candidate.

This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious and motivated individual to join and lead within this specialist and successful team. You should be commercially focused, have an excellent track record of delivery and be happy working both independently and as part of the team.
