Area Manager – Commercial Property

A highly successful and well-established property company is looking to recruit an area manager for the North West. Forming part of the in-house commercial property team, you will have direct responsibility and ownership for a portfolio of multi-let mixed commercial sites.

This role is an ideal opportunity for an experienced commercial property professional with multi-site experience, perhaps as a property manager or similar, who is looking for their next step in their career. This role also provides management responsibility, as you will be the line manager for two centre managers within your region.

Reporting into the asset management director, the commercial property area manager is responsible for

• The smooth operation of the sites within their area, taking overall responsibility for maximising occupancy and profitability by maintaining a cost-efficient administrative base from which occupiers can operate their business.
• New lettings to prospective occupiers, presenting the best range of options to suit that occupier’s needs, converting sales leads into lettings.
• Maximising occupier retention through efficient management of the renewal process, and the day-to-day property management of your region.
• Liaising with head office and finance to ensure accurate monthly invoice production, revenue collection, credit control, and weekly/monthly/yearly reports.
• Working with the marketing team to ensure all sites in your region are being positively promoted and attracting new tenants via industry contacts, agent relationships, networking activity.

As the successful commercial property area manager, you will have/be

• Previous experience in a commercial property management or sales position, with multi-site management experience preferable.
• A strong communicator, someone who finds it easy to build rapport, and it goes without saying that you will have a real passion for commercial property in general.
• Confident with lease renewals and licence requirements.
• A strong commercial awareness of what occupiers want alongside financial performance, and business results.
