Ion bags pair of deals at Earlsfield
Developer Ion has completed agreements with leisure group Marston’s and garage and forecourt operator Euro Garages at Earlsfield Park, its 50-acre scheme at junction 2 of the M57.
Earlsfield Park sits directly south of the Knowsley Estate in North Huyton and is set to provide more than 30 acres of employment land and a Bellway development of 154 homes.
Euro Garages will combine a convenience store, coffee shop and instore baked goods with petrol facilities, sitting alongside a planned combined 3km pedestrian and cycle route.
The employment park won consent in June and is pitched as a hybrid model, with Ion seeking deals with advanced manufacturing R&D facilities, sub-regional logistics business space and office and workshop spaces in a semi-rural parkland setting.
Steve Parry, managing director of Ion, said: “Marston’s and Euro Garages will add an amenity and leisure offering to Earlsfield Park occupiers and employees as well as serving the local community thanks to its excellent location and accessibility.’
David Myers, UK property director for Euro Garages, said: ‘‘We have enjoyed working with Ion to date and this transaction represents another strategic milestone in our company expansion.
“Earlsfield Park’s surrounding land uses are synonymous with properties we target; the roadside profile will help us to deliver high quality customer facilities to enable brand partnership growth within our group.”
