Invopak lets 4,400 sq ft at Frederick House
Recruitment consultant Walker Lovell has agreed to take office space on a 10-year lease at the mixed-use property on Dukinfield Road in Hyde, while work to refurbish the building continues.
Walker Lovell is relocating to the first floor office from its current site at nearby Hyde Park House as it looks to expand its operations.
The company will pay £9.50/ sq ft for the office.
The building’s owner Invopak, which makes plastic and metal packaging, bought the 58,000 sq ft building from M7 Real Estate last summer for around £2m.
The site provides 20,000 sq ft of offices and a 38,000 sq ft industrial unit, which Invopak occupies.
Invopak also occupies the ground floor office, leaving 4,700 sq ft still available to let.
Manchester-based interior design and fit-out firm, Workspace Design and Build, is carrying out the refurbishment.
Oliver Woodall, senior surveyor at Edwards & Co, one of the joint agents for Frederick House alongside Davies Harrison, said: “The quick turnaround of this letting demonstrates the heightened demand for good quality workspace in Tameside and the surrounding areas, despite the challenges facing us from Covid-19.”
Davies Harrison represented Invopak in its earlier acquisition of the building.
Walker Lovell was unrepresented in the transaction. Building consultancy Beaumont Lord project managed the refurbishment.
