Introducing the Place North West Low Carbon Forum
Sponsored by Halliwells LLP, the Environment Agency, Envirolink Northwest, Beever and Struthers
It gives us great pleasure to announce the first Place North West Low Carbon Forum, an exclusive networking event for key stakeholders in the property, construction and regeneration community to discuss and debate the following: where the region is on its roadmap to sustainability, what it has achieved, where the opportunities lie and what are the challenges the sector faces as it moves to an increasingly sustainable future.
The forum will take place at the offices of Halliwells LLP in Manchester on the morning of 23 March.
Based on a successful format that encourages interaction between delegates and sponsors, the event will feature a keynote presentation from Drivers Jonas and interactive roundtable discussions looking at:
- Sustainable Build & Development
- Energy
- Transport & Infrastructure
- Funding & Finance
- Legal & Regulatory Requirements
There will follow a panel discussion that will focus on the key challenges and opportunities that come out of the roundtable discussions. The simple objective of the event is to bring together some of the region's foremost experts and key stakeholders – from both the public and private sectors – to share their thoughts, ideas, interpretations and experiences in a mutually beneficial way and through this help to define the best ways forward for the region's property, construction and regeneration communities.
The keynote presentation from Helen Hensel at Drivers Jonas will focus on some of the key challenges and opportunities that have come out of the major Towards a Sustainable Commercial Property Sector report that Drivers Jonas is in the process of completing for Manchester City Council.
Appearing on our expert panel will be:
- Ian Mawditt – Director of Building Sciences, RSK Group
- David Ritter – Partner, BDP
- Dr Andrew Karvonen – Manchester Architectural Research Centre
- Helen Hensel – Senior Surveyor – Sustainability, Drivers Jonas.
- Myles Kitcher – Director, Peel Energy
This event is invite only and is strictly for senior public and private sector stakeholders within the property, construction and regeneration community. Places are limited, however we have retained a small number of tickets and if you would like to apply for one of these, please email dunstan@placenorthwest.co.uk
