Insurance broker relocates to Citygate

Centodec Developments has completed a letting on a 3,875 sq ft office at the building located off junction 31A of the M6 motorway in east Preston.

Hemel Hempstead-based Lorica Insurance Brokers is relocating from a smaller office located at 7 Moor Park Avenue in Preston where it was based for 25 years.

Lorica has signed a five year lease on an office located on the first floor of the Citygate development for an undisclosed rent.

Citygate adjoins Red Scar Industrial Estate and nearby occupiers include E H Booth & Co, Lancashire County Council, Mondi, Interlink, Volkswagen and Spar.

The new office will be the fifth regional office in Lorica Insurance Brokers' portfolio along with offices in Birmingham, Cornwall and Billericay as well as its headquarters in Hemel Hempstead.

David Martland, Lorica Insurance Brokers branch director for Preston, said: "The move is a statement of intent that Preston will continue to be a hub of the company's North West insurance broking activity for the foreseeable future.

"We believe it's essential to provide the best possible working environment for our staff and the Citygate development – which is well positioned on that major road network, fits the bill perfectly."

Robert Pinkus & Co acted on behalf of the landlord in the deal.
