Indurent puts in for 300,000 sq ft Speke logistics development
The industrial developer wants to refurbish Imperial Brands’ R&D facility off Evans Road and build sheds on the adjoining 16-acre site.
Indurent has tabled a hybrid planning application for the 300,000 sq ft development with Liverpool City Council. The developer is seeking full consent for the refurb element of the proposals and outline permission for the new-build aspects.
The new-build elements would be built east and south of the Imperial Brands building, much of which was occupied by Hudson House and Southern Gateway, which are in the process of being demolished.
Plans show that three large units providing a combined 212,000 sq ft would be constructed fronting Speke Boulevard. A multi-let complex totalling 90,000 sq ft would be built on the Woodend Drive boundary.
UMC Architects is leading on design and Avison Young is advising on planning matters.

Indurent is one of the more active industrial developers in the North West at present, with sheds in Rochdale, Warrington, and Knowsley in the works, among other locations.

Would these developments affect a possible railway line to John Lennon AirPort?
