Ian Simpson hires commercial director

Ian Simpson Architects has appointed Richard Jackson from Aecom as commercial director in the Manchester office.

Jackson worked for Aecom for three years where he was head of consulting specification for Europe. Previously he was an equity partner in Davis Langdon before the company was incorporated into Aecom.

Jackson will concentrate on the business side of the practice, supporting the creative studio and expansion in both the domestic and international markets.

Jackson said: "It is great to be offered this opportunity to join and play my part in shaping one of the country's most successful architectural practices, I'm looking forward to working with a close knit team that is clearly very ambitious."
