Lambrini maker Halewood International has instructed Edward Symmons' Liverpool office to sell a surplus site of 5.5 acres near the Sovereign Distillery in Huyton.
The site off Cronton Road, the site was granted outline planning permission for residential development in December 2012.
Rob Diggle, agency partner at Edward Symmons, said: "This is a significant site in the busy Huyton residential area and has excellent access to the motorway network, as it is close to the intersection of the M62 and M57 motorways.
"We have already received significant interest in the site from the known established residential developers and therefore anticipate announcing a sale of the site in the not too distant future."
