Hurstwood to build resi scheme in Rossendale
The housebuilder, part of Hurstwood Holdings Group, has won planning permission to redevelop a five-acre site in Newchurch into 30 homes.
The homes, designed by architecture studio Baldwin Design Consultancy, will be a mix of luxury and affordable units, comprising three-, four- and five-bedroom detached, semi-detached and mews houses.
The scheme, called Newchurch Meadows, sits on a plot off Johnny Barn Close in Newchurch, Rossendale.
Hurstwood Homes plans to start work on site in September, with the first properties being released for sale off-plan soon after, and the first phase of houses available for occupation in late 2021.
Sam Ashworth, project director at Hurstwood Holdings, said: “Having expanded our investment operations nationally, we are proud to be working once again in Rossendale, to contribute to the local economy and housing market that we have been a large part of for more than 30 years.”
Manchester-based Hurstwood has developed other schemes in Rossendale, including housing on Hurst Lane. The parent company, Hurstwood Holdings, has a portfolio valued at £160m across 100 sites nationwide.
Ashworth added that Newchurch Meadows has been “sensitively designed using natural finishes to create a seamless transition between the scheme and the local agricultural-style surroundings, respecting the existing ecological landscape.”
