Hultons expands into Wales with acquisition
Lymm-based Hultons Landscapes has completed the purchase of £2m-turnover Welsh firm Wright Landscapes for an undisclosed sum.
Wright employs 15 people in Wrexham and Alltami, and works for local authorities, developers, contractors and architects. It will continue to operate under its own brand. Founder Jason Wright and financial director Sue Wright will join Hultons’ senior management team in an advisory capacity.
Hultons, formed in 1968 but on an expansion path that has seen sales double in the last year to over £7m, employs 65 people in Lymm. Clients include Birchwood Park, Bruntwood’s Booths Park in Knutsford and Sci-Tech Daresbury. The deal follows the firm’s organic growth into covering the West Midlands and South Yorkshire markets earlier this year.
Lee Webster, managing director, said: “This has been a landmark year for Hultons and this acquisition is another milestone for us. We continue to achieve exceptional sales growth and this has allowed us to secure further investment to strengthen our business. Our work is also gaining increasing industry recognition.”
Dow Schofield Watts provided financial due diligence services to Hultons.
