HKR adds to Manchester team with Carey Jones director

The Manchester office of HKR Architects has recruited Nigel Jacques from rival Carey Jones Architects as a director.

Jacques, pictured, also previously worked for the London office of HOK International and is a former member of the regional committee for the British Council of Offices.

HKR opened its Manchester office two years ago and now employs 40 staff, with a turnover in excess of £3.5m.

Jon Matthews, founding director of HKR Manchester, said: “We’re delighted that Nigel has decided to join our team. With his flair and extensive experience across commercial, retail, residential, transportation and urban regeneration sectors we are confident that his contribution will help in our ambition to create a world class architectural practice.”
