Hill Dickinson adds to construction team

Law firm Hill Dickinson has recruited Nancy Hobbs from Pinsent Masons LLP in London to the construction team in the firm's Manchester office.

Hobbs will join as an assistant solicitor. In London, she was part of Pinsent's contentious construction and engineering team.

Michael Woolley, partner at Hill Dickinson, said: "We are very pleased to welcome Nancy to the team in Manchester. Our workload is expanding to such an extent that Nancy's appointment was an important requirement for the practice group going forward. Having worked in both the UK and Dubai, Nancy brings a wealth of expertise that she can continue to build on at Hill Dickinson."

Hobbs trained at Pinsent Masons in Manchester. Hill Dickinson's construction team has five partners and a senior consultant, together with two full time assistants. Together, the property and construction teams have 24 partners and 42 other solicitors.

Hobbs said: "I joined Hill Dickinson for a number of reasons. I wanted to return to Manchester, where I trained originally but I obviously wanted to make sure that I would be working with a highly regarded team, so Hill Dickinson fitted perfectly. Hill Dickinson is encouraging me to get involved in a wide range of matters and gain more 'hands on' experience. The firm also offers the opportunity for me to work on both contentious and non-contentious cases, which is something that I have been very keen to do."
