Hill Dickinson achieves 13.5% fee income rise
Hill Dickinson has reported a 32.4% rise in fee income at its Manchester office, 12.5% at the Liverpool head office, and 0.8% growth at the Chester office, in the firm's half year results to October 2008.
The growth in Manchester followed key and senior appointments in several areas, the company said. A total fee income of £38.5m was reported by the national commercial law firm.
The figure represents a rise of 13.5% on fee income of £33.7m for the equivalent period in 2007, and reflects further growth in all areas of the firm's full service legal expertise.
There was a continuing strong trend in the firm's employment law work, which saw an impressive 52% increase on the first half of 2007.
Further areas of growth across key practice groups included:
- commercial, 12.2%
- healthcare, 12.6%
- insurance, 19.3%
- professional risks, 29.2%.
Hill Dickinson had also achieved a 47.2% rise in its office in Piraeus, Greece.
Peter Jackson, managing partner, said: "We're particularly proud of the growth recorded in all areas of the firm. In contrast to recent announcements by other law firms, we're delighted to report growth across the board.
"Albeit it small, we have bucked the national trend by reporting a 1.4% growth in our property and construction practice group. Our employees have yet again been the driver of this success and we owe everything to their continued dedication and commitment."
