Heywood tenants take extra space for Christmas

Segro reported three seasonal short-term deals with existing tenants at Rochdale's Heywood Distribution Park in the run-up to Christmas.
JD Sports has added 35,000 sq ft to its existing space at the park. Parcelforce has occupied 40,000 sq ft at unit B2. The Royal Mail has taken B4, which equates to 30,000 sq ft.
Jane Leedham, senior surveyor at Segro, said: "The current climate is tough, but we are working hard to identify ways in which we could keep up the momentum at the park. HDP is a successful and well-maintained park that will always attract interest from a range of high profile occupiers. The recent deals being struck before Christmas, indicate we can be a bit more optimistic about what next year will bring."
