Heseltine returns to Liverpool for BCSC

Former deputy prime minister, Lord Heseltine, will address 3,000 delegates at this year's British Council of Shopping Centres Conference & Showcase in Liverpool.

Lord Heseltine will reflect on Liverpool's place in shaping regeneration policy and on his time in the city following the Toxteth riots in the early 1980s.

He said today: 'It is my absolute pleasure to return to Liverpool in its year as Capital of Culture. I have a great affection for the city and its inhabitants who have developed a renewed sense of identity.'

The BCSC Conference & Showcase will be held at ACC Liverpool in November.
