Helioscity/CBRE Investors broaden mix at Chorley park
Helioscity and CBRE Investors are in advanced talks to dispose of the leisure and retail elements of Buckshaw Link, part of the massive Revolution business park in Chorley.
Pub operator Mitchells & Butlers has bought a 0.8-acre site and two further plots are under offer to a 100-bed hotel operator, 0.8 acres, and a petrol filling station on 1.2 acres.
Quoting prices for land at the scheme range from £700,000 to £1m for prime.
The joint venture partners are on course to have 1.2m sq ft of offices and industrial developed by the end of this year, with tenant numbers growing rapidly.
Deals so far this year include a letting to Merlin Cycles of 6,500 sq ft at £5.75/sq ft, believed to be a record for industrial space in the area. Other occupiers include Encon, 106,000 sq ft, a subsidiary of logistics giant Wolseley.
The scheme, attached to Redrow-Barratt's 1m sq ft Matrix Park, also has permission for 3,000 new homes, of which 1,200 have been built.
A new train station is due to be built at Revolution on the busy commuter line from Manchester to Blackpool, becoming operational in 2009.
