Haydock Cross hat-trick for Mileway

The last-mile logistics operator has completed three deals at the park totaling 47,000 sq ft, the largest with PDS Transport, which has acquired 21,371 sq ft on a 10-year lease.

JLL and B8 Real Estate acted for the landlord on the deals.

Also agreeing terms at Haydock are lighting wholesaler Brightlightz, which has acquired 20,477 sq ft on a three-year lease, and Critical Business Solutions, a safety systems provider, which has taken 4,798 sq ft on a five-year lease.

The industrial park is adjacent to the A580 East Lancs Road, within a mile of the M6. Only one unit remains vacant on the estate, at 17,785 sq ft.

Robert Kos, industrial and logistics director at JLL, said: “Haydock has become an established hub for growing businesses in the North West. Equidistant to Manchester and Liverpool, it provides occupiers easy access to the North West and national road networks.”

The deals follow three other lettings secured by Mileway in the Haydock area earlier in the year which equated to a total of 95,000 sq ft, the lion’s share being Wincanton’s 71,000 sq ft.

Earlier this week, Mileway secured high-flying fitness tech brand Peloton at its Raven Locks scheme in Salford, a site acquired when Mileway’s parent Blackstone agreed terms to take an industrial portfolio from InfraRed Capital Partners earlier this year.
