Gwynedd picks Dawnus for public realm framework

Dawnus Construction's North Wales regional office in Bangor has been awarded a £6m framework contract with Gwynedd County Council.

The framework runs for four years and involves the upgrading of existing hard landscaping and the improvement to public open spaces in both Caernarfon and Bangor town centres.

Richard Hughes, regional director of Dawnus, said: "The competition for the four year framework was extremely competitive, and included tendering interest from well known civil engineering contractors outside of the region. Having recently completed public realm projects in North Wales at Amlwch Harbour on Anglesey and Rhyl Bus station, we are becoming the region's seasoned construction experts in public realm.

"We are very pleased with the award of this contract, it guarantees continuity of work for us in the region & secures jobs for both Dawnus employees and our current Welsh supply chain partners, for the next four years'."
