GVA Grimley/Inenco offer combined low carbon service

Property surveyors GVA Grimley and energy consultant Inenco have formed a partnership to provide Carbon Reduction Commitment advice.

The CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme will service larger organisations in non-energy intensive sectors and has been designed to encourage continued emissions reduction. CRC organisations will purchase carbon allowances, and in turn the allowance costs will be recycled. The performance of organisations in emissions reduction will determine what proportion of its allowance costs will be returned.

Stephen Martin, director in GVA Grimley's Manchester office, said the partnership has already secured its first client, Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Trust. He added: "We're delighted to form this crucial partnership with Inenco and we are extremely pleased to have secured our first client so soon after the official launch. As the market evolves and with it the complexities of an increasing volume of compliance procedures, demand for specialist integrated advice is increasing at an unprecedented rate. We aim to meet that demand for carbon reduction advice head-on via our newly formed partnership."
