Grosvenor makes eight Liverpool staff redundant

Eight redundancies are being made by Grosvenor at its Liverpool operation, due to a reorganisation of the company and as a result of projects and schemes coming to an end.

A further two more staff, based in London, are being made redundant by the global company.

The second phase of the £1bn Liverpool One retail, residential and office scheme was opened by Grosvenor in the European Capital of Culture in October, with just a few lettings left to complete.

Another 30 stores and restaurants are due open before 2009, while the remaining residential and Hilton hotel elements around the fringe of the development area will open early next year.

Liverpool One's agents are Cushman & Wakefield, Strutt & Parker, and Tushingham Moore. DTZ advises the Grosvenor Liverpool Fund.
