Greensill increases Daresbury presence
The global finance firm has taken an additional 19,600 sq ft of office space at the business park near Warrington in addition to the 27,000 sq ft it leased at a neighbouring building in January.
Greensill Capital, which provides capital finance for businesses, has leased the space within the 41,000 sq ft 1100 Daresbury Park in Halton, owned by Orbit Developments.
Greensill took space at the newly refurbished Daresbury 2100 in January, another Orbit building just next door. As well as these two lettings, the company also occupies space at Cinnabar Court, part of the wider Daresbury Park scheme.
Daresbury Park is a 225-acre business park off Junction 11 of the M56 in the Halton area near Warrington.
The agents for 1100 Daresbury Park, which is now fully let, are BE Group and Cushman & Wakefield.
Paul Hubball, director of Orbit Developments, said: “We worked very closely with [our letting agents] to find the right property solution for the Greensill management team and help extend their presence on this business park.
“We are pleased to have secured a fully let property in challenging times, which is testament to everyone’s hard work.”
Other occupiers at Daresbury Park include Swiss-Swedish automation firm ABB, IT company Ivanti and housebuilder Redrow Homes.
Simon Roddam, head of commercial agency at BE Group, said that while the overall number of transactions was down in the Warrington area office market this year, there has been a steady run of medium-to-larger office deals.
“These have pushed the total floorspace taken in the first half of 2020 up to 177,235 sq ft, which is more aligned to the performance of recent years and paints an encouraging picture.
“[Daresbury] is an out-of-town marketplace showing great resilience,” he added.
London-headquartered Greensill also has offices in New York, Sydney and Singapore.
