Green Plan proposes renewable energy plant

Liverpool-based Green Plan Energy has submitted a planning application for a biomass energy-from-waste facility on Bryn Lane in Wrexham Industrial Estate.

The application is supported by a detailed ecological framework and landscaping strategy that has been prepared by the environmental team at HOW Planning in Manchester.

Elizabeth Lees, environmental consultant at HOW, said: "There is more and more talk about the future of the UK's energy supplies and a real focus on becoming more self-reliant. This is a really exciting application as the proposed development will deliver a fantastic renewable energy facility for Wrexham."

HOW project managed the application, bringing together technical reports and accurate environmental information required for a sensitive application. HOW also prepared the Supporting Planning Statement which outlined a detailed scheme description and assessed the proposals against relevant planning policy.

I have a good feeling on this article. I think it is a fabulous idea for the area, bringing a new generation of business, with it employment and wider income streams. The only issues i have is understanding the technology they are using… I dont want to do the typical thing…. not understand it so be afraid of it! I know it’s one of the best, cleanest technologies out there but not a lot else! Can anyone help me?
