Global IT firm leases 16,000 sq ft at Birchwood Park

US-based IT management solutions company Flexera is using the new Warrington office to further grow its footprint in the UK.

Flexera has already begun its move to the 16,209 ft Birchwood Park space from its old office in Daresbury.

“Birchwood Park provided so many solutions to issues that are extremely important to our business and staff,” said Kathy Thomlinson, site manager at Flexera.

“It’s the perfect location for access to graduates from a range of nearby universities including Manchester, Chester and Liverpool, as well as attracting professionals with experience in the tech industry from a broad range of North West cities.”

Thomlinson added that the wellbeing features of Birchwood Park also made it more attractive to the company.

“The gym classes, wellbeing events, business networking and fundraising activities all ticked the box for us,” she said. “The amenities on-site, such as childcare and such a varied food offer at The EngineRooms, also provide great options for our growing team.”

Agents BE Group and JLL acted on behalf of Birchwood Park on the deal, while  Cushman & Wakefield was the letting agent for Flexera.

More than 165 companies call Birchwood Park home, including Jacobs Engineering Group, David Wilson Homes and Bellway. The site offers a mix of warehouses and small and large offices.

Birchwood Park is also a work in progress, with more than 800,000 sq ft of development land with outlined planning consent.

The park is owned by Warrington Borough Council and managed by real estate fund Patrizia.
