Glenbrook completes Birkenhead industrial refurb
The property development and investment company has completed a speculative refurbishment of a 22,500 sq ft industrial building at No.1 Dock Road in Wallasey, Birkenhead.
The detached warehouse occupies a 1.1-acre site and includes office and industrial accommodation. It is located in the Seacombe area of Wallasey fronting Dock Road, which runs parallel to the Wirral Waters development and the East Float Dock.
Work included the removal of the previous occupier’s plant and fittings, installation of a new roof and cladding to the elevations, new roller shutter loading doors and full refurbishment throughout.
Glenbrook acquired the property this summer.
Mark Diaper, associate director at Legat Owen, joint agents for the scheme with LM6, said: “There is huge demand for quality industrial accommodation in this area. The property represents a rare opportunity for a business to own their freehold unit, which is situated in a highly prominent location and is available for £895,000 or at an annual rental of £95,650 per annum.”
Well Done

In the hole of wirral there are many many unoccupied industrial units,
In Prenton.Birkenhead
.Bromborough.
.etc etc, so to spend all that money on this unit in Wallasey is madness, although I suppose it lines the pockets of the few, totally no need for this refurbishment,

Thomas – A private company invested in purchasing and refurbishing this property. I’m sure they’re more familiar with the economics of their investment than you are so I don’t see how you can claim it is “madness”. Who should they be making profit for if not to support their own business (which in turn supports jobs and the local economy)?
