Gillespies hires from IBI

Jim Fox has joined Gillespies’ Manchester office from IBI Group as associate partner and head of urban design in the North.

Fox spent 15 years at IBI Group and predecessor Taylor Young. His recent key projects include an urban extension at Ashton Green in Leicester, an urban design framework in Ashton Town Centre, and a masterplan design guidance and landscape strategy for a mixed-use urban extension in Northallerton.

Fox is a visiting fellow at Sheffield Hallam University and a member of the Design Council National Design Review.

Jim Gibson, partner at Gillespies’ Manchester office, said Fox would add an improved masterplanning offer to the firm’s established landscape offer working on a range of residential, town centre and infrastructure related projects.

Gillespies employs 16 staff in Manchester and 144 across the firm’s five offices; London, Oxford, Leeds, Glasgow and Manchester.
