Genr8 Developments brings in two
Andrew Fairest has joined the Manchester firm as project director, while senior development manager Ellen Lockhart is expected to work on the redevelopment of Huyton town centre.
Genr8 said the two significant additions to its project and development teams will support the business as it continues to grow and cement itself as one of the UK’s leading regeneration specialists.
Fairest brings close to 30 years’ experience and a proven track record of delivering major projects across the UK. He most recently worked at Muse as a projects director.
Lockhart had worked in London with Grosvenor Property UK and most recently, Canary Wharf Group.
Fairest will assume a lead role in the £500m Newcastle Health Innovation Neighbourhood, the regeneration project in partnership with Newcastle University, which is being delivered through Genr8 Kajima Regeneration (GKRL), Genr8’s joint venture with Kajima Partnerships.
Lockhart will be key in bringing forward future phases at Genr8’s Smithfield development in Stoke-on-Trent, and will be instrumental in navigating the early development stages of GKRL’s mixed-use scheme in Huyton Town Centre with Knowsley Council.
Mike Smith, partner at Genr8 said: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Andrew and Ellen to the Genr8 team. Both are incredibly well respected in their fields and bring a wealth of experience, knowledge, and dynamism that will help us accelerate our ambitious growth plans and deliver transformational change to cities and towns in the region.”
Congrats Andrew – and great to see you at REiiF too!
