Four plots change hands at Cheshire Green

Legat Owen has agreed four land sales at Cheshire Green Industrial Park which will unlock further development at the scheme between Crewe and Chester.

Two plots totalling 2.8 acres have been acquired by developer Spitfire, which is currently on site at a 22,000 sq ft design-and-build unit for packaging business Unette. This bespoke build is due to complete in six weeks.

Elsewhere within the park, the 3.5-acre plot 10 has been bought by TI Midwood, an importer and distributor of screws and fixings. The company is currently working up a planning application for this site.

The final sale is a 5.5 acre plot which has been purchased by North Western Farmers, which owns a number of subsidiaries including distribution business Boughey. The acquisition will be used as a future development plot for a NWF’s planned expansion.

Legat Owen are the joint agents on Cheshire Green with Fisher German. The park is part-funded by the Cheshire and Warrington LEP, which has provided £3.2m to unlock the first phase of development.

Matthew of Pochin of Legat Owen said: “Cheshire Green Industrial Park represents a unique land opportunity in a key central Cheshire location, providing owner-occupiers the ability to acquire land to develop as they wish. The majority of regional development sites are developer-tied where prescriptive criteria and inflexibility can be off putting to the owner occupier market.”
