Fortis targets 2020 completion at £67m Bridgewater Wharf
Fortis Developments’ construction arm Beaumont Morgan is set to start on its 376-home Bridgewater Wharf apartment scheme in the coming months, kicking off a two-year build programme.
The scheme alongside the river Irwell includes studios, one, two, and three-bed apartments and townhouses, as well as a gym, communal lounge and parking.
Designed by architect Purcell, the development secured planning approval from Salford Council in September 2017.
Beaumont Morgan is due to start on site in the coming months, and is scheduled to complete the scheme in the first quarter of 2020. The project has a gross development value of £67m.
Knight Knox is acting as agent for the scheme, with prices ranging between £119,995 for a studio apartment, to £359,995 for a four-bed duplex.
Kieran Moore, director at Fortis Developments, said: “With an ongoing shortage of high-quality rental accommodation in both Salford and Manchester, we’re sure that Bridgewater Wharf will appeal to the large number of young professionals moving into the area.
Andy Phillips, commercial director at Knight Knox, added: “With previous properties such as Bridgewater Point and Bridgewater Gate already creating a busy residential gateway between Manchester city centre and the increasingly popular Salford Quays and MediaCityUK, we’re certain that this launch will come as positive news to potential buyers.”
