Forrest turnround continues with ForViva win

Embattled contractor Forrest, propped up by a loan from Greater Manchester Combined Authority in March, has been appointed to deliver a £10.8m extra care scheme for the ForViva Group in Merseyside.

The Withens, designed by JDA, is an extra care and dementia scheme to be built on open ground in Stockbridge Village, Knowsley. There will be a 64-unit extra care block, as well as 26 bungalows, along with communal and support facilities.

The scheme will start on site in September with completion earmarked for February 2019.

Earlier this month Forrest won the £28m contract to build nearly 200 flats for Factory Estates and Salboy in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
