Former GVA Grimley partner goes it alone

Following news of his redundancy last week, Roy Backhouse, former industrial partner in GVA Grimley's Liverpool office, has set up his own company and has been appointed to handle Langtree's portfolio on Merseyside.

Roy Backhouse & Co is retained on Langtree's Wellington Employment Park South and and Connect Business Village in North Liverpool, Alchemy Business Park in Knowsley and Venture Point West industrial site in South Liverpool.

Backhouse joined GVA Grimley from Hitchcock Wright & Partners, where he was equity partner, in 2006.

He is also a board member of Stepclever – an enterprise initiative set up to help local people and budding entrepreneurs in north Liverpool and south Sefton.
