First refurbed Alderley Park office to let

Bruntwood is bringing Parklands to market, a 100,000 sq ft office which is the first refurbished building to be brought forward under the developer’s masterplan for the 400-acre Alderley Park.

Parklands will be available to occupiers from April, and is a five-storey building near to the park’s farm and woodland. The building can be let in full, or in 5,000 sq ft suites.

The letting agents are Colliers, Hallams and JLL.

Bruntwood is due to refurbish a further 300,000 sq ft of office, laboratory and light manufacturing space at the park over the course of this year.

Bruntwood is the lead partner in Manchester Science Partnerships, which acquired the 400-acre Alderley Park in 2014, following news of AstraZeneca’s exit to Cambridge.

Next week, Cheshire East Council is expected to approve a hybrid planning application for the park, which includes 400,000 sq ft of new-build offices and labs for life sciences, alongside the 1m sq ft which already exists on the site.

MSP is a Manchester-based public-private partnership and the UK’s largest science park operator. MSP’s shareholders are Bruntwood, University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University, Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Manchester, Cheshire East and Salford City Councils.
