Firethorn acquires 432,000 sq ft Warrington industrial
Located off Hardwick Grange, the three units are let to UK supermarket chain Morrisons.
Firethorn Trust has acquired the 432,000 sq ft logistics asset, which sits on a 21.5-acre site in Warrington, from the British Steel Pension Fund for an undisclosed sum.
The property is fully let under a long-term lease to Morrisons. Firethorn will manage the asset as owner and landlord.
Chris Beer, senior associate at Firethorn Trust, said: “Having recently reached practical completion at Link Logistics Park, Ellesmere Port, we are pleased to be expanding our portfolio in the North West, which continues to be a leading industrial hub.
“The acquisition of Hardwick Grange reflects our ongoing commitment to the logistics market, as we look to allocate capital in prime locations across the UK this year.
Firethorn Trust was advised by Colliers and Klipa on agency and Maples Teesdale on the legals.
“Being ambitious and agile, we are well equipped to seek out income and long-term investment potential, as well as strategic land opportunities, amid the evolving market conditions,” Beer added.
“We are actively pursuing opportunities to deploy significant balance sheet capital into further acquisition and development across the sector.”
