Firem starts on Runcorn industrial

Groundworks have begun at Astmoor Point, which will offer 25,800 sq ft of warehouse space when finished.

FI Real Estate Management’s latest project is situated by the junction of Hardwick Road and Astmoor Road within the Astmoor Industrial Park in Runcorn.

The developer is aiming for a March 2023 completion date for the nine-unit scheme. Under Modern City Architecture & Urbanism’s designs, the different warehouses will offer between 2,670 sq ft and 4,500 sq ft of space.

Tim Knowles, founder and managing director of Firem, is confident the new development will prove to be sought after.

“Astmoor Industrial Estate has proven a popular location for a wide range of businesses over the years and with the demand for industrial space across the UK rising, we know Astmoor Point will be able to help fulfil some of that demand,” he said.

“Our investment in the new development will also help to boost the local economy and provide more employment opportunities for local people,” Knowles continued.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming new businesses to Astmoor and for our presence in Runcorn to continue to grow.”

Astmoor Point joints Firem’s 15m sq ft portfolio of commercial property throughout the country. Firem is actively growing its industrial sector presence, with another 5m sq ft of new-build industrial units in its pipeline.
