FIREM breaks ground at Winnington Business Park

The Chorley-based developer has started building the 113,000 sq ft Northwich complex, which features units ranging from 1,000 sq ft to 55,000 sq ft.

Winnington Business Park is made up of eight blocks across 7.5 acres off Winnington Avenue and will be built by FI Construction.

All units will feature dedicated parking, roller shutter doors and EV charging points, according to FI Real Estate Management.

The developer won consent for the project late last year. FIREM is also delivering the redevelopment of Botany Bay in Chorley and a 105,000 sq ft shed in Wrexham, where the company owns around 85 acres.

A spokesperson for FI Real Estate Management said: “Our extensive experience in industrial development has shown us that there is a huge appetite for high-quality space that can be tailored to business needs while providing excellent connectivity links.

“We are very proud to bring to market not just a new flagship industrial development for the North West but one that will provide flexible and bespoke commercial solutions for a range of business types and sizes.”

The architect for the project is MCAU Architects and the planning consultant is DPP.

Close to the Winnington scheme, Anwyl Homes is building 250 houses having bought 12 acres from FIREM in 2020.
