FIREM adds to Wrexham holdings with 268,000 sq ft Tetra Pak buy
FI Real Estate Management has acquired a 30-acre site on Wrexham Industrial Estate from plastics manufacturing giant Mainetti.
The site, which houses a 268,000 sq ft distribution centre previously occupied by Tetra Pak, is FIREM’s latest Wrexham acquisition.
The industrial investor and developer has now spent £132m on the estate since 2006 and owns 3.1m sq ft of stock.
Manetti acquired the site in 2013 for £3.5m when Tetra Pak relocated to Chester. The complex, now renamed Bedwell Park, is ready for occupation and would make an ideal home for a business seeking to establish or expand its presence in the area, according to FIREM.
Bedwell Park benefits from a 7.500KVA power supply.
Tim Knowles, founder and managing director of FI Real Estate Management, said the deal marks a “significant milestone” in the company’s Wrexham journey.
“Our historic and continued investment in Wrexham reflects our confidence in the area’s growth and its role as a key industrial hub in Wales and the UK,” he said.
“With the addition of this site, we are not only expanding our footprint but also strengthening the future economic prospects of the region.”
Knowles added: “The former Tetra Pak site is brimming with potential for businesses seeking a new headquarters – with high-quality space, on-site warehousing, and a substantial power supply and infrastructure in place.”
Elsewhere on Wrexham Industrial Estate, FIREM is developing a combined 1.1m sq ft of new-build industrial and logistics space.
