Fire consultancy opens Manchester office
Adam Monaghan from Arup has been appointed director of Design Fire Consultants, tasked with setting up the engineering company’s first office outside of Leeds.
Monaghan worked as fire engineering leader for Arup in Manchester for more than 11 years.
He has worked on well-known North West projects including Manchester Town Hall and Library, First Street, Manchester Central, Chancery Place, Victoria station, Manchester Arena and the Green Quarter, as well as the Hilton and Radisson Blu in Liverpool.
Monaghan said: “I’m truly delighted to have joined DFC and look forward to developing our market. The North West economy is booming and I look forward to working with both new and existing clients to deliver our pipeline of work.”
DFC is due to secure a Manchester office in the next couple of months, and is looking to hire two or three new members of staff to work alongside Monaghan.
The decision to open in Manchester follows DFC’s appointment to a number of developments in the city, including First Street with Ask and Patrizia, Circle Square with Select Property Group and Bruntwood, and 55 Portland Street with Property Alliance Group.
Congratulations Adam. Good luck for the future – hope it’s a busy one.
