February start on site for Oldham homes
Galliford Try has been granted planning permission for 54 family homes on the site of the former St Augustine’s School in Oldham, to be marketed by the developer’s residential arm, Linden Homes.
The 4.5-acre vacant plot is located at the junction of Grange Avenue and Chamber Road, around one mile south of Oldham town centre.
The development will deliver a mixture of three- and four-bedroom detached and semi-detached homes.
NJL Consulting advised Galliford Try.
Galliford Try Partnerships is currently building 500 new homes under the Linden Homes brand for sale and rent in Brunswick, Manchester, as part of a £100m PFI regeneration programme.
All of the new homes will feature off road parking.
The project was approved at the Oldham Council strategic planning committee meeting on Wednesday 10 February.
Construction on the brownfield site will begin this month and all of the new homes will be available for open market sale.
