Fashion brand makes Arndale switch

Retailer AllSaints has opened in its new location within Manchester Arndale, in the group’s largest store opening this year.

AllSaints relocates from Market Street to the New Cannon Street unit, where it joins fashion names including Gap, Monki, Superdry, River Island, Victoria’s Secret and Victoria’s Secret Pink.

The London business engaged architect Al-Jawad Pike on the fit-out of its store, with a design that it said references Sverre Fehn’s Nordic pavilion in Venice and Richard Serra’s industrial scale steel sculptures.

Colin Flinn, regional managing director at intu, co-owner of Manchester Arndale with M&G Real Estate, said: “AllSaints’ new concept store at Manchester Arndale is exceptional – a stunning retail environment that further elevates Manchester Arndale.

“This relocation by AllSaints, alongside new leases for leading brands including Uniqlo, Jack & Jones and Quiz, demonstrates the continued confidence in the centre as one of the true fashion hubs of the north.”

That is not bad. All it needs now is a Harrods in Piccadilly gardens.
